DOGWATCH GUIDELINES
-
Volunteers
need to be wearing safety vest to be identified as a volunteer.
We have them available. -
Volunteers
can remind dog users of dog park rules if they spot violations. -
Avoid
hostile confrontations with the public. -
Record and Report
name (if possible) or license plate can be documented and passed on to Parks staff. -
Volunteers
can arrive and walk the facility any time during park hours. -
Volunteers
are not on site to pick up after dogs. Simply provide a watchdog presence, so to speak, and hopefully folks will see someone wearing a vest and abide by rules. -
Dogwatch
notice has been posted on each Information Shelter as users enter each section of the Dog Park.
Staffed by Volunteers, to inform the public who are using the Dog Park, to the Rules & Proper Etiquette. This consists of wearing an orange vest, supplied by Harris County, and informing visitors about rules ®ulations.
If you wish to join Dogwatch, please send your Name, Email & Phone Number to fred@bark9.com.
In those rare occasions where a person wants to argue a specific point what is the proper etiquette, we have Handouts that you will receive with your orange vest.
